Hi, i’m olivia cederman

I am a Masters-qualified physiotherapist and the sole practitioner at Physiotherapy Studio Mount.

I am passionate about all things physiotherapy, rehabilitation, sport, exercise and health. My primary goal is to truly make a difference, and to inspire every person who comes here to leave with a greater knowledge of how their body works so they can be empowered to move forward with their injury, listen to and trust their body.

I treat a wide range of conditions; spinal and joint pain, headaches, facial and jaw pain, pelvic pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, birth injuries, running and sports injuries, and more.

Physiotherapy Studio Mount upholds close relationships with radiologists, doctors, surgeons, gynecologists, sports physicians and nutritionists to whom we can readily refer for further input and second opinions.

MY APPROACH

My practice is a combination of hands-on manipulative therapy and needling, alongside progressive rehabilitation, education and lifestyle advice to get you back up and running.

My areas of passion include pelvic health/women’s health, exercise rehabilitation, facial and jaw pain and headaches, and vocational rehabilitation.

HI, I’M MIKAYLA SWAN

Born and raised in Christchurch, I completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Otago, where my thesis explored the experiences of returning to sport following long COVID.

My passion for movement began with 15 years of ballet training, which first sparked my fascination with the human body and how it performs. Over the years, I’ve also enjoyed participating in a range of sports, further shaping my understanding of movement, performance, and recovery.

For the past four years, I’ve been actively involved in being a medic across a variety of sporting events — from endurance races to football, touch, and rugby union. I’ve also had the privilege of working with representative rugby teams in Otago, Canterbury, and the Bay of Plenty.

As a physiotherapist, I’m passionate about helping people get back to doing what they love, whether that’s sport, work, or everyday life. I take a holistic approach that combines my knowledge of movement with evidence-based physiotherapy and lifestyle principles to support each client’s unique journey toward optimal health and performance.
